Google has announced new interface for Gmail on the iPad. The new HTML5 UI is based on the web app they created for iPhone and Android devices last year. However, the new Gmail interface for iPad is still in experimental test phase.
Having used gmail.com on your browser, you may find something different to see the email interface on your iPad. Tablet like iPad gives chance to innovate more because of large screens as compared to other phone devices that have small screens. Google works hard to optimize their services for the new format like larger touch screens, increased portability, rich sensors and even to share their progress information so far. As part of that, Google has created two-pane view with list of conversations on the left and messages to the right by taking the advantage of iPad’s large display.
